High school player's condition improves after he was struck by semi

Derek Doran, a senior at Allen Park Inter-City Baptist, was struck by a semitrailer on southbound I-75 near Mack Avenue late Tuesday and is continuing his recovery at Receiving Hospital in Detroit.
